El is FANTASTIC! Her artwork is beautiful, creative, personal, sweet, and elegant. El was very responsive, organized, helpful, and kind when working with us. She has an amazing portfolio of work to chose from, not to mention the personalization she brings to everything she does. I know we will be going to El for all of our paper needs for years to come. Her work is unparalleled and her artwork added to making our wedding day theme all we ever could have imagined! I cannot recommend El's Cards enough.
It is always a pleasure working with a couple who loves the idea of using different pieces of artwork throughout all the parts of the wedding. Lucy and Ron were one of those couples. We met right around Christmas time in 2018, so thinking about the fun designs of summer was a bright spot in the winter.
Lucy loved the Buoys invitation, so that was the selected design to send out to all the lucky people on the guest list. The buoys were a perfect choice for the wedding taking place at a family property on Monhegan Island, Maine. The invitation envelope had a sweet lighthouse print in the corner, and the rehearsal dinner card had a full color lobster. To incorporate more design elements into the invitation, Lucy requested the Adirondack chairs design on the reply card. This invitation suite was a perfect example of how to customize your suite by using a few designs from other invitations.
Our next item was the ceremony program. Lucy couldn't have selected a better choice for those. The peonies in her bouquet were such an inspiration for the programs. Using a simple, two sided card is a great approach for the program. Those seem to be more and more popular lately. Having a short and sweet program can cover all the details you need, and is something personal for your guests to take with them to remember your day.
Then for the reception, the couple chose our By the Sea seating chart and the Scallop Shell table numbers. I love the brightly colored floral centerpieces with the sea themed table numbers! The printed seating chart is a great memento of the wedding day that our couples like to keep in their homes long after the wedding day.
The final detail was the thank you note....we came full circle and went back to buoys on this one.
Working with Lucy was a pleasure! Since the wedding, I have heard from Lucy with orders for some of our other fun (non-wedding) products! She is a talented knitter and does beautiful work which I have been enjoying on social media. One of the things I value the most about working with these great wedding couples is remaining in touch long after all the wedding festivities have ended. Thank you Lucy, for that! I always appreciate your positive feedback on the things I post. :)
