Customize Your Wedding Stationery

Ellen Braley has been creating beautiful hand painted wedding invitations since 1999 when she first launched her business from her dining room table in Milton, Massachusetts. For many years, El would pick up a paintbrush and create new designs as she met each couple....and then paint each and every single invitation by hand! 

With the improvement of technology and four websites later, El has painted many unique wedding stationery suites to make easy customization not only possible but also affordable for our wedding clients.

What important features does every invitation suite always include?

• El's own watercolor artwork-painted by hand in her New Hampshire studio. El mixes all her own paint colors and uses many different brush sizes and types for various techniques. Arches 140# hot press is her watercolor paper of choice every time-it allows for great color layering and the smooth finish is also perfect for hand calligraphy.  You will never find digital painting at El's Cards.
• El's own exclusive fonts-created from her personal calligraphy styles. 
• Full proofs of your suite before Bob does your print run (up to 3 text revisions)
• Only the highest quality cardstock and envelopes-we use Crane's Lettra 110# for invitations and all accompanying cards
• Bob's meticulous printing, cutting, and packaging of all paper goods
• Timely communication with El about all aspects of your order.  We are a two person team here at El's Cards.  El does all the painting, calligraphy, design work, and customer service. Bob handles all aspects of your print run, precise cutting of all invitation parts, and assembly of your invitations for you (when selecting that service).

Here are a few ways you can customize your chosen wedding invitation design at no additional design cost:

• Exchange a reply card and/or enclosure card design with another suite
• Select a different font type and/or color than the ones shown on your suite (please make this request in the special instructions box when ordering so El can design your proofs accordingly)
• Choose artwork on the envelope from another suite
• Swap an envelope liner design from another suite or select one of our existing map designs to be used as an envelope liner (when purchasing the envelope liners add on)
  

For a little extra cost, here are a few other ways to customize your invitation:

• Add a heavy cardstock backing if one is not included in your suite (starts at $1.75)
• Tie your invitation pieces all together with a ribbon (starts at $1.50) 
• Include a belly band around all pieces (starts at $2)
• Add a wax seal to a ribbon or belly band (starts at $2 for self adhesive seal + design fee)
• Double envelopes (pricing will vary)-this is often done when selecting hand calligraphy for guest addressing
• Colored envelopes (pricing will vary)
• Add one of our existing map designs as part of the invitation (starts at $3)-minimum will apply
• Include an illustrated schedule of events (starts at $3 + design fee) - minimum will apply

How to place your order - If you are interested in placing an invitation order with custom features, you can simply select the invitation design you would like, and put your customizations in the "Special instructions" box right above the blue "add to cart" button. Then proceed to the cart page and then the check out page.   Please do keep in mind that depending upon the additional details chosen, it could affect delivery time of your invitations, so it doesn't hurt to contact El if you have specific questions.
