Santa (aka Bob) has left the building!
Any orders placed between December 22nd-December 27th will be shipped starting December 28th-when we return from a few days off for Christmas.

Shipping Times
Shipping times are where we don't have the control.  Although Bob packs everything super carefully and gets things out the door as soon as possible, once he drops it off at the post office, it's unfortunately out of our hands.  From what we have seen this year, orders have been getting where they need to be in a timely manner. That said, it's out of our domain once it leaves Bob's workshop.

If you are local to Greenland, NH (or aren't local but want to take a little road trip), we have a great front porch pickup available.  You will receive a notification through email when your order is ready...and you can swing by at your convenience anytime from 9am-9pm.  The front porch pickup also enables you to place an order for most things as late as December 21st to have it in time for Christmas!

Production and Shipping FAQs
Why isn't first class shipping an option during the holiday season?
We only offer priority shipping during the holidays due to the volume of packages being sent.  We have found that first class is a more likely chance of being lost, and want our customers to have the best possible experience when they order from El's Cards. We just find it a more efficient service this time of year. If you would like to upgrade to Priority Express to have your order arrive more quickly, please reach out to El via email ( and she will send a link for the additional cost of the upgrade.

How can I speed up the shipping process once my package leaves Bob's shipping station and goes to the post office?  We have found that if you sign up for text or email updates with the USPS when you receive your tracking number from El's Cards, it often speeds things along.  It's like Santa...if the postal service knows you are watching....they're on their best behavior!

Great idea! How do I sign up for tracking emails or texts? It's easy! Just go to the tracking page on and paste your tracking number sent by El's Cards.  Select how you want to receive a notification of delays, etc.  It's very easy!  If you don't think you received a tracking number, please check your spam.  Sometimes it ends up there!  OR you can email for help. 

What if the tracking says my package has arrived-but it's not here?  If your package shows it has been delivered but you don’t have it, definitely check with your neighbors or front desk and definitely the mail carrier to see if it may have been accidentally delivered to the wrong address or scanned incorrectly. And then give it a few days because it still might show up! 

What if my order doesn't arrive before Christmas?  We have a couple of new Gift on the way notes that you can print out from your computer and either wrap or put in a card for the recipient.  People have been doing this for our "Your Beloved Bookshelf" prints.  They are so popular...even though the gift may arrive after Christmas, our wonderful clients have been taking that approach so they can order for this season.
