Working with El and Bob was truly a delight and highlight of planning our wedding. From the first time we met at their home, we knew that having El design everything from our save the date to our cocktail hour napkins would be such a fun and special experience. El brought our vision to life with little personal touches like elephants (the bride's favorite) wearing fez hats as a nod to our engagement in Morocco, beach roses in honor of the bride's father, and hydrangeas to tie in a Cape Cod summer favorite.
El brought all of these moments together beautifully, creating cheerful and sentimental details that sparked joy and really captured the feeling of the day. Not only are El's watercolors beautiful, she is also an excellent project manager and was fantastic at advising us on timelines and making sure that we were staying on track. Bob also ensured that everything was printed, packaged and delivered perfectly!
We cannot recommend working with El's Cards enough - the thoughtfulness, the attention to detail, the consistently patient, calm and organized presence, and of course the creative talent! Thank you El and Bob for being so kind and a wonderful part of our day, and giving us beautiful keepsakes that we will treasure.
When I initially met with Beth and Kevin about their save the dates in the winter, I knew we would be a great team when Beth mentioned how much they wanted to use happy colors! Using color in wedding work really allows the personality of the couple to show through. In all my years creating wedding invitations, I have noticed that some of my clients are nervous about using color. So it is truly refreshing to be given free reign to add a beautiful color palette to all the wedding stationery.
The special crest for the save the date was a fun feature. When I heard elephants and ice cream, the ideas just started flowing. We used the frozen treats stamps for the save the dates and a custom ice cream cone stamp for the reply card. The couple opted for digital calligraphy on the guest envelopes and Bob assembled and mailed them out to the guests.
The invitations included a custom map as an accompaniment, featuring favorite beaches, the family home, wedding location, and so many other fun and sentimental details. The hydrangeas and beach roses were a beautiful pairing and added a true pop of color to the invitation and reply cards. (I liked this combination so much that I designed a new invitation available featuring these flowers). And don't forget the envelope liner! The couple opted for the beach roses liner from the Salty Air suite.
When it was time for the wedding day details-I loved putting together all the special artwork starting with the hydrangea and beach rose ceremony programs. The menu cards for each guest's seat are always a special touch. This menu was colorful with some of the wedding foods illustrated on the sides. The escort cards were decorated with beach roses and the place cards had the lemon/raspberry design. Table numbers were a watercolor numeral with a simple border so as to harmonize with all the beautiful blue patterned tablecloths and napkins. The rehearsal dinner place cards were in the Harbor View design.
Joe Mikos did a fabulous job capturing the couple's wedding day in photos. Seeing photographs of all the details on the wedding day is always such a great feeling! Working with Beth and Kevin was a great experience. The colors we used were so refreshing and it was wonderful to be able to put the ideas on paper for this lovely couple.
