2020-It's been quite a year so far. Different than any other to say to say the least.  Every year I look forward to creating our new calendar designs for our annual desk calendars.  We always offer two designs, "The Sea" and "something else".

 
There are stories behind some of the designs and some of them just popped into my head for no reason!  I must confess that getting these calendars completed this year was challenging for me.  As an artist, I don't like admitting that I hit a creative block. But with everything going on in the world, unfortunately, that happened. Luckily, at the beginning of July I was able to sit down and figure out what to paint.  I like to do a mix of scenes and elements so each month is interesting.  Having a variety of colors is something to consider as well.

Well, last year our second calendar was "4 Seasons" and it was so popular. So this year, we brought it back with all new designs for you to enjoy.

When we participate in the craft shows, we get a lot of requests for frames to purchase with the calendars.  This year, we have a limited number of frames available to order with your calendar.  You are able to choose from several styles.

And last but definitely not least....for many years, we have had requests for an all cats calendar.  We thought it would be the perfect year to try this calendar and see how it does.  Sadly, we said goodbye to our sweet gray kitty, Spike at the beginning of the summer.  So this "Cats" calendar is in honor of our boy.  You will find Spike and Annabelle as kittens on the June page (my birthday month).  Want a little behind the scenes?  Here's a pile of cat paintings that are included on the calendar. We received so many great photos from friends and clients featuring some beautiful felines. It was so hard to decide which ones to use.  If your furry friend was not included, never fear!  I will be painting more cats for some of our new upcoming products. Stay tuned for more cat paintings as the year wraps up! You may see your cat on a note pad, tea towel, or a box of note cards.
