What a year it has been! Last year at this time, my husband, Bob, left his full time job as a dispatcher at an oil company. We had been planning for this big step and were so excited when the time finally came! We set ourselves up for success by registering for a number of new wedding shows, craft shows, and a plan to change parts of our website.
With so many new clients and great customers interested in our products, we found that the existing website was unable to best showcase all of the invitations, cards, and maps that we were creating. And we continued to get wholesale requests from business owners who we met on the road at the craft shows. The next logical step seemed evident-time for a new look including a whole new website! One that would make all of our products available and include a wholesale shopping cart.
I met Geneve Hoffman four years ago when she invited me to participate in a styled wedding photo shoot for Seacoast Weddings magazine. When we decided to make this change, it all clicked! Geneve had a company called 16 Hoops that did marketing, branding, and website development. We met with Geneve, and she immediately had ideas about how we could update our brand and market our products to a larger audience. Geneve and Moira (the website expert at 16 Hoops) encouraged me to create a sophisticated new logo and have been so supportive of the vision we have for our small business.
We are so excited with the results! The new website looks great and we are getting overwhelming positive feedback from our customers and friends. It looks and feels like "us". It is simple to use, and there is a personal feel to the ordering process-especially for our wedding clientele. We hope you enjoy browsing around and seeing all the fun new items that El's Cards is offering!
