Stunning Newport RI Mansion Wedding

I met with this lovely bride on an autumn day in to discuss a custom wedding invitation for her June 2017 wedding in Newport, RI with a reception at the Eisenhower House. Our first order of business was the Save the Date.  Alysa liked a couple of our existing designs, so we were able to alter the color a bit for the save the date card so it was more like the wedding colors.  We also added a light blue envelope and an oyster and mussel shell envelope liner.

When it came time for the invitations, we went in another direction and I created a watercolor border for a more classic invitation for this Newport, RI wedding.  We did some really custom accents-from a simple Newport map with a yellow highlight for the envelope liner, to the couple's names written in watercolor calligraphy for a custom touch.  The oyster shells were brought in on the rehearsal dinner invitation, and we tied a blue ribbon around the suite to keep the cards all tucked in neatly together.

When it came time for the wedding day paper goods, Alysa and I worked closely together to achieve her vision for the day! We used many of the invitation elements in the wedding day paper goods. The Newport bridge was included on the escort cards, and the couple's monogram was at the head of the program. The watercolor border carried through on the menu card and the table numbers.  The guest welcome bags had a special gift tag

The couple needed some signage for guest book, dessert table, and flip flops. Those were all hand lettered in calligraphy and we used some fun fruit paintings on the dessert sign.

It was a perfect day for Alysa and Tim!  I am so happy to have been part of their wedding.  Creating custom artwork for my couples is one of the best parts of what I do!  Thank you so much for your wonderful ideas and positive feedback!  Working with you was a wonderful part of 2017.

We are so excited that this wedding was featured on Grey Likes Weddings!  A beautiful feature honoring this happy couple. I love seeing the wedding day smiles that tell the whole story!
