We absolutely loved working with El’s Cards to create everything from our save the dates to invitations and day-of paper for our wedding. Not only do they create products that are beautiful and distinct, Ellen and her husband are wonderful to work with. From day one when I was just contacting her about save the dates, to the weeks leading up to the wedding, Ellen was professional, understanding, and just overall lovely to work with. She offers a special combination of wedding expertise and creative skill to help make your vision a reality.

I loved how on some items, we would go back and forth to find the right color combination or card layout and she was so patient with my ideas and requests, but closer to the wedding when I was too stressed to get into details I trusted her to create final additions like the signature drink card.

In terms of the products themselves, everything El’s Cards made for us came out perfectly and the process was seamless. If you work with them for your wedding invitations, I highly recommend having El and her husband mail them out for you! It is one less thing on your plate during a busy time and a great option they offer. We worked with a lot of vendors for our wedding, but El’s Cards was a standout and a great partner from start to finish.

Sometimes when I hear from a new client, they live locally and we are able to sit down together and plan the wedding stationery together. This was not the case with Allie and Brian. But that worked out just fine! Thanks to a few phone calls and emails, we were able to figure out and achieve the couple's vision.

We started out with the Adirondack Chairs Save the Dates. This was a perfect choice for a seaside wedding.

After thinking about both the Blueberry invitation design and the Peony and Blueberry, the couple decided on the Peony and Blueberries, but with a slightly deeper pink peony and an off-white card stock. Allie and Brian also opted for a fun, illustrated schedule of events, blueberry envelope liner, and digital guest addressing and assembly/mailing service.

For the wedding day, the escort tags for the jars of blueberry jam from Stonewall Kitchen were the most fun! We used our Carie font on those seating assignments on the jars, and a single blueberry for a hint of artwork. The table numbers were designed with the Peony and Blueberries design from the invitation.

Each table had 2 menus created with calligraphy headers in the middle of the tables. We designed a signature drink sign too! This was a fun detail. These illustrated drink signs are always a fun and colorful addition to the bar top.

All the guests at the head table had a place card hand lettered in navy blue calligraphy at their seat. The calligraphy detail was one that carried through from the couple's names on the invitation, to the menu, to these cards.

And what a picture perfect day it was for this couple! I loved seeing the photos done by the talented photography team at Two Adventurous Souls. From the ceremony at St. Ann's Church, to the reception at the Breakwater, Allie and Brian were all smiles!

Although I never met Allie during the planning of the wedding, I met her Mom when she came to pick up all the wedding day items a week before the wedding date. And then finally, I did get to meet this lovely bride! We were doing a Pop up shop in Kennebunkport during Christmas Prelude in December, and guess who came in to say "Hi" but Allie and her Mom! It totally made my day! Bob and I so appreciated you coming into say hello.
