Portland, Maine Nautical Summer Wedding

This was a fun custom wedding suite to create! Janina called me from California to let me know she would be in town and we set up a time to meet about the save the date cards. I met the bride and her lovely Mom to talk about the details! The couple had met in Africa so we used a map motif for the custom save the date. We put a baobab tree on the back flap of the envelope for an extra touch.

The invitation had nautical rope (the groom is a Navy Seal) with their initials within the rope. All of the pieces were unique...compass reply card, Grace window for reception card, and my favorite part...the round pizza card for the "day after" party. Travel is a big part of their lives, so we used an "air mail" design on the outer envelope.

They needed to indicate food choices on their place cards, so we used the artwork that had been used on the save the dates and invitations. Janina and Chris had a colorful seating chart, featuring some of the places that they had traveled together. The table signs had a custom travel theme as well. It was a pleasure to be a part of this day! I loved meeting Janina's family and working together from start to finish on their paper details that really made this wedding their own.

"Great news! The invitation arrived, and it all looks fantastic!! Thank you so much! I have also received a billion texts and emails today from various people who received theirs today and were absolutely raving about how wonderful they look!! I really LOVE how it all came out, so THANK YOU for all your hard work creativity, and flexibility!"-Janina, bride

"I recently received a "save the date" card and wedding invitation that was made/designed by you. So beautiful, so unique. My friends, who also received the cards, are all amazed, since they haven't seen any like it before. We can't say enough about your wonderful designs. What a treasure to keep. Even our cousin in Rome, Luciana, emailed me about the invitation. Keep up the exceptional creativity."~ email from Valerie Sabbatini, mother of the groom
