Bob and I have been lucky enough to visit beautiful Naples, Florida a couple of times...once for a birthday trip (Thanks to our friend, Debbie!), and the other time for our wedding anniversary trip.  After our second trip there, I was so in love with all the colors or the landscape, that a map of Naples was a MUST!  To this day, that is one of my favorite maps in our collection.  You can imagine how delighted I was when I received an order for invitations for a Naples wedding!

Susan, the mother of the bride, ordered her invitations from the El's Cards website, but we worked closely together to add some special touches.  She chose the Chic Compass style invitation, with the names of the couple, Caitlin and Marcus, written by hand in calligraphy before printing.  White on navy calligraphy on the guest envelopes was one of my favorite details of this invitation!  The couple was living in Australia, the groom's home country!  So I had the pleasure of working with Susan through the entire process.

We took our own watercolor Naples, Florida map and added custom touches to it to use as a special display at the wedding reception.  I added the wedding venue, some key places in town, and of course a plane with an Australian flag as a nod to the groom's family.  We incorporated some of the map elements (manatee, pelican, dolphin, Naples pier) onto the escort cards for the different food choices.  These designs were also used on the table number signs at the reception.

It was truly a pleasure working with this family to create some special paper goods for the wedding day... and an invitation that was a unique introduction to what was to come for the invited guests. I loved seeing these beautiful photographs of the wedding day. What a spectacular location.  We will get to Naples again, Susan! And I certainly plan to meet you in person when we do!!
